The Montreal Choral Institute (MCI) invites fans of Baltic and Scandinavian repertoire to a choral workshop hosted by internationally renowned Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds.
Despite the composer’s short stay in Montreal, this choral encounter will interest the public, music lovers, choristers, soloists, conductors, composers and instrumentalists alike. All are welcome to attend this two-hour event scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, 2018, between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Orpheus Choir Toronto is promoting Ešenvalds’s Central Canada tour. The Montreal event is organized in collaboration with the MCI and McGill University.
Come and listen to “Lielupe” (Great River) and “Staveju, Dziedaju” (I stand and sing), two of many works by Ešenvalds, learn more about the composer’s career, and ask him any questions you may have.
Workshop: Tuesday, February 27th, at 7:30 p.m.
Elizabeth Wirth Music Building (University McGill),
527 Sherbrooke St W,
Montréal, QC H3A 1E3
NB: the subscription fee includes a licensed PDF copy of both choral works (distribution via email upon receipt of registration fee).
