Synopsis

Farewell concert of our founding Artistic Director Michael Zaugg — With recorder quartet Flûte Alors!

Voces boreales and Flûte Alors!, the only professional recorder quartet in Canada, invite you to an enchanting concert of mostly contemporary works on the theme of fairy tales.

Featured works will be: The Nightingale by Uģis Prauliņš, Unicornis Captivatur by Ola Gjeilo, En Vuelo by David Désilets and Morning Mood by Edvard Grieg, for which the choir will be accompanied by Flûte Alors!, as well as a piece for recorders by Matthias Maute called Kaleidoskop.

This will mark the final concert of the 2013-2014 season for voces boreales and the farewell event of our founding Artistic Director Michael Zaugg.
