Synopsis

Voces Boreales, in its largest formation of 40 voices, showcases Slavic choral music from the past and present: from the Orthodox masterpiece Vespers by Rachmaninov to works by Ukrainian and Russian composers. The choir offers a truly transformative evening.

“We have been preparing this concert for well over a year,” highlights Andrew Gray, Artistic Director of Voces Boreales. “I am reminded that now, more than ever, our role as artists is to create a space for dialogue and compassion. The works in the program have a mystical, engaging, timeless beauty that reach across divides and speak of peace."

Presented by Voces Boreales and Le Vivier. Voces Boreales is a proud member of Le Vivier since 2010.
